I’m Shawna Sesso from New York, NY, although I grew up in Canada. At 28 years old I’m not really at the point in my career that I always imagined I’d be, but life never goes as planned! I enjoy baking in my spare time and hope to one day open up my very own bakery. Until then, I work as a manager at a local bakery where I whip up a lot of delicious creations every day of the week!

I’ve always been good at baking, but when I first started looking for a job everyone told me I needed formal training. So instead of going to college, I want to a career training school to become a chef. I had a lot of questions when I first started and had to basically crawl through the process of getting signed up. So, hopefully I can share some of my experiences with you to help you out. Any schooling is hard, but not knowing what you’re doing can make it even more difficult.
